Wanted to December 20th. Three and four December 21st they're taking periods 5 and 6 finals thank you okay sorry I apologize for sale flyer my apologies and then the last day of our our fall semester is a scholar half-day which is December 22nd you be out at 12:40 and then teachers will return January 16th but students don't return until January 17th and with that you want to pass it off to mister Carl Stone reminder talk slow so the software has a chance to translate what are you talking about okay some Middle School announcements first of all like mr. I brought up we have school that week from December 18th through the 22nd and we have a Scholastic Book Fair happening that week we are about to have three and a half almost 4 weeks off for winter break that is a great opportunity for our students to be reading at home we know that not all students have books that they are necessarily looking forward to reading so parents please do send your students if money on those days for them to buy some books and that will be happening in the week of December 18th through the 22nd if you have questions you can contact Mr come Beto who is going to be running most of the are the other big announcement is that we are in the midst of boys basketball tryouts and we already completed the girls basketball tryouts for this first season of middle school basketball to a really excited about and we just completed h e l testing and our student in the middle so I'll be calling the median student that student grew almost a Year's worth in their reading ability in the first 17 weeks of school so we're excited about finishing up that testing and that's also something that's going to be happening towards the end of December so we'll be sending me messages out to families but that week of December 11th to the 15th a lot of our students are going to be completing the i-Ready diagnostic for reading and math I in there a reading give me there Rob Ela and math classes so just have that on your calendar and those are the big announcements we are also similar to mr. chai talking about high school we are also doing our interim testing and that's been really really positive and then going well so far this week and we're looking forward to diving deeper into the results so I think that's about it I hope everybody had a great relaxing break i j just got sick with this we have new business I'm going to pass this off to to mister Carl Stone to talk about some of the stuff today that will also roll over the future meetings you just need your Healthy voice sorry about that the El Cap oh my goodness has Siri says it's okay so everything's going to be alright get the El Cap progress in El Cap is the local control it's basically how we that the funding for the schools and the budget and this body the ssac is the body that looks over on our El Cap and provide input from the parts of the students from the parts of the staff and from the parts of the families are related to how we kind of breakdown parts of our budget so it's kind of involved process today we're just talking about the fact that that's going to be coming up please be looking forward to our future meetings where we're going to be going into on the edge of the El Cap at you'll be learning about the funding sources and where that money goes I'm so that's going to be coming up inconvenience similarly Mister Shine I are meeting with the home office Finance team and we're going to be coming back with some budgeting updates related to where we are in the and in the funding that's like how our attendance is doing how that relates to our funding so those things kind of go together and we'll be having longer conversations about that coming up at the reason I bring this up in park to make sure that you know when missile us send out the updates with the materials try to take a look at it ahead of time and identify some of the questions that you might have because it is a a long and involved document and it may take some time for you to look at it before you can kind of provide some questions and feedback thank you mister all Stone and now training and I were a responsible student but if you would like to see it would have sent us by the Beatles so that the kids playing sports can be safe when they're playing their game play me Sanchez has raised her hand to comment like on behalf of for example cross country we do we did carry first aid kits with us and addition to that the actual the directors at the race also have their EMTs on for stains so I can speak to cross-country regarding that I am not aware of the other sports but I am almost sure if I'm if I do that you know it's a requirement I am almost sure that other teams are swamped but I will let that's my comment and building on and adding to that we do have we have three daughters and coach said games at the have medical equipment I'll double-check to make sure that's
