hello this is Miss Christine again this presentation will cover school to home communication during virtual and Hybrid models here is a list of all the communication tools we use to maintain constant communication with our fan we will provide you with a virtual 2020-21 parent folder parentsquare PowerSchool for student grades and attendance Google Classroom only to be used during distance dean's list for ready reports or academic and events calendar or parent newsletter also known as the ready review social media accounts for school website and our school traditionally every summer we host welcome orientation for new and returning families given to the current circumstances we are unable to see you all in person and provide you with your parents we have created a digital parent folder for your convenience all parents can access this folder on our school website the folder will contain important information such as her parent student handbook school specific policy academic and event calendars bell schedule special education brochures and additional information needed before the start of the school year Alliance MIT uses parents hair for school communication primarily with email text and out. Applications are automatically generates an account for each parent using their preferred email address and phone number to Access their account so they can download the mobile app update their preferences on when and how they are notified here's what you can do with parents were receive messages from the school via email tax for app notification you can choose perceive information as it comes or all at once at 6 p.m. Daisy you can communicate in your preferred language coming on school postings to engage in your school Community direct message teachers staff and other parents can also participate in group messages now I will show you a parent video on how to get started with parent Square parentsquare parentsquare is a safe and secure modern approach to communication and collaboration between school and home it is a central hub for all School wife classroom grade level in group messages as well as private message everything you need to know comes the right to your fingertips as an email text or at notification the first part of this video will help you get started we will show you how to activate your account and set your preferences you will need to activate your account you should have received an email or text from parents square with instructions on how to activate your account if you did not receive anything from parents for a please visit parent square.com and click sign in email or cell phone number now that you've activated your account go to Perrin square.com and click sign in you will enter your email or cell phone number and your password and click sign in to enter the parent Square portal you will come to your school's homepage this homepage will only show information that directly relates to your child you're not the school bus the school-wide announcement in the top right corner you will see your name click the drop-down menu and click my account here on the my account age you can see your account information choose your notification in language preferences quick change this under notification settings you can get an email only a text only or both you also have the option to get an instant or digest message just message arrives via email at 6 p.m. each day and includes all messages for the day remember to click save if you make any changes under language settings you can click change this to receive messages in another language this is the easiest way for you to see all messages upcoming events volunteer opportunities photos and files all the place turn Square where you can stay gauged and connected with your vibrant School community PowerSchool scholar academic progress PowerSchool attendance homework great signment behavior and test scores can be viewed through PowerSchool on the internet PowerSchool also provides a direct link to teacher emails to access PowerSchool you will need the following information the website location where you can also find it on our school website your username or password on your school name login information is distributed to parents soon after school starts it is also play the bull by contacting or School main office instructions on how to set up your PowerSchool account can also be found on our school website at ww.w.
